3rd-5th Problem Solving: M&M’s World (÷, comparison)

We presented this problem to 2 kiddos: Benny and Lucas, and were floored by the amount of math reasoning they showed! Benny and Lucas get right into this problem solving situation with 2 different ideas of how to solve it! Not only that, but they come to 2 different conclusions, using deep math thinking in their explanations! Don’t you just love it when your kiddos think independently and have the confidence to try something different???
